The Wrath and the Dawn
by Renée Ahdieh
The way the story was written; the plots, the words—especially the Arabic/Persian ones are astounding. The tale is definitely a well-known one, but the way Ahdieh retold it in her own words, along with the plots is pure magic. Her writing style and how she approached the story made me fall in love with an age and people who are long, long gone. It’s definitely worth reading.
Fangirl
by Rainbow Rowell
Rainbow Rowell is an incredible writer, yes, but Fangirl exceeded my personal expectations. Fangirl is an extremely relatable story about a girl who lives in her own world of stories, books and music. This story will take you on a ride of joy, sadness, and an absolute feeling of familiarity.
More than This
by Patrick Ness
A boy drowns in the sea, yet he wakes up somewhere familiar. And then?
Patrick Ness made sure to cover every single detail that the reader could possibly think of. As if he was trying to pull his readers’ full attention to the story itself, to the twists and events. The fact that Ness thought about and managed to create a world like the one within the pages of this book is beyond words. The story is enjoyable, beyond anyone’s imagination and one that will always keep you on edge.
