Smoked Salmon Salad

A healthy, filling, completely satisfying meal does exist. We just need to figure out a way to create it with the ingredients we have in our kitchen, right? It is not always easy to get kiri-ative, though. As cooking turns into a chore, we find ourselves in need for new ideas.

That is why we at What Women Want… Magazine collaborated with Kiri and created the #Kiri_ativeChallenge. Our favorite foodies set each other off on deliciously creative adventures, where each foodie received a basket from us at What Women Want… Magazine and Kiri, containing ingredients which they must stick to while creating their all new recipes.

The Food Guy, Marwan Hazem, was challenged by @thefoodreview_ to create a mouth-watering dish full of bright flavors and satisfying textures. Let’s see how he did it.

Smoked Salmon Salad

Ingredients:

For the dressing:

Kiri cheese (3 squares)

2tbsp oil

2 ½ tbsp mustard

1 lemon juice

Pinch of thyme

Salt to taste

For the Salad:

2 cups lettuce

1 cup spinach

200gm smoked salmon

2tbsp sesame seeds

Directions:

In a bowl, make the dressing by adding three squares of Kiri, sunflower oil, lemon juice, mustard, salt and thyme. Whisk thoroughly until homogenous. Then, cut the salmon into strips and set aside. In a serving bowl, place the mixed greens and mix well. Add the dressing to it bit by bit, and finally add the salmon strips. Last step is to sprinkle some sesame seeds on top of the salad.
