This year, Grand Hotel’s series has been the talk of town on daily basis. Its phenomenal success has got us all obsessed with the script, style, story and the amazing journey the characters have taken. We fell in love with Ali who fell in love with Nazly who Mourad fell in love with…and married.

The deep and sensual combination of Ali and Nazly has got us all hooked to the extent that we forgot that she is a married woman who is cheating on her husband. It’s basically understanding and support. A very simple human connection that made us sympathize with Nazly and hope she would always and forever be with Ali. We have jumped along the roller coaster ride with Nazly from the start. We’ve felt her fear; we’ve seen her insecurities and we’ve heard the escalating sound of her heartbeats. We didn’t judge her, simply because we know she didn’t have a choice, or that she isn’t a bad person. We’ve experienced it all with her.
She lied, cheated and tricked her husband but to the audience that is all ok because he is a villain. A bad guy.

And as controversial as this topic may sound, she will always be mistreated and judged if she didn’t gain the credit this fictional character gained on screens. We may not welcome a cheater in our home but we happily welcomed Nazly to our home screens and long for her love to succeed.
No one said that cheating is fine; it’ll never be because the person should always decide, but understanding and providing non-judgmental support towards the cheater is key to a healthy and stable society. A cheater doesn’t always have to be a fallen and evil woman like society taught us; she could be a normal girl who didn’t have a choice rather than making a mistake. “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.”
