Working out can turn into a chore sometimes. We just learned that it doesn’t need to! We spent last Saturday having a great time, getting fit and getting strong all at once at F3 Fight & Fitness Factory. This is what happens when you sign up for a boxing class there!
We arrived at F3 and learned that we will be trained by Coach Magdy, who happens to be a boxing trainer certified from England, who has more than 25 years’ experience in boxing under his belt. He has won 9 championships in Egypt, 8 in Cairo and 2 in the Middle East! First, we got ourselves warmed up with some light exercise and rope jumping. This was followed by some boxing basics. Punching the air seemed a little too easy, and so we moved on.
We then started training on a real dummy, and this is when we were surprised to learn that throwing a punch can be so relieving; we felt the stress of the week leave our shoulders! After spending a good amount of time punching our stress out on the poor dummy, we were promoted to the real boxing ring, where we trained one-on-one with Coach Magdy. After that we trained to punch again on the sandbag and before we know it, we were done, and couldn’t wait to come back!

If you think this would be great for self defense, you wouldn’t be wrong. F3 have an anti-harassment program where they give a one-week extensive self-defense program. This program teaches women techniques to defend themselves against harassment and violent attacks. The program will be divided into five modules. F3 will also teach women how to operate a Kubotan Spike.

Not only that, but for F3’s Anniversary, they will launch what they call “Fight for A Cause”, which will be done for charity. On their anniversary, F3 will give 30 seconds for people who pass by their booth to punch a sandbag. For each punch, money will be given to charity.
