Hend Sabry on Syrian Refugees, “I don’t see how longer this situation can last”

Tunisian star Hend Sabry visited Lebanon to continue helping refugees in the Arab world! Joining the UN World Food Programme (WFP) which aims at raising awareness of the hunger problem the Arab world is facing. Hend drew attention to their new award winning mobile app “Share The Meal”!

Share The Meal is an app that allows smartphone users help feed refugees with just a tap on their phone! It seems perfect with the holy month of Ramadan emerging.

Hend has been active in humanitarian work since 2009 and has been visiting refugee camps for the past 5 years. Naturally, in 2010 Hend officially became a WFP Regional Ambassador against Hunger.

Hend met with Syrian families living in dire circumstances. She commented on that saying, “over five painful years, I visited Syrian refugees regularly, both in camps and in urban areas”, she says, “every year passes and the situation gets worse. This time, all I can say is that I don’t see how longer this situation can last”.
