A photo of a car lodged at the top of escalators at Seven Stars Mall has been circulating Facebook recently after being published by the Facebook page Egyptian Auto Market. Little did they know, but this isn’t the first instance of this photo being published, according to some commenters, the photo went viral a little over a year ago.

All of this is taking place even though there is not a single woman in the picture. This, naturally, resulted in numerous debates in the comment section about women’s ability to drive. Regardless of the fact that one cannot judge all women collectively, just as one cannot judge any group of people as a whole based on the abilities and/or behavior of some.

Eventually, a few commenters who were present at that particular incident told the story as they have seen it. They all agreed that it was, in fact, a female driver, and that it also was an honest mistake. All this being said, the incident itself cannot, should not, be used as means to judge all of women’s driving skills. When a woman’s husband starts a little house fire while boiling an egg, you don’t see her questioning the fact that some of the world’s greatest chefs are men.
