After spending 24 hours at the Saudi borders, Loujain Alhathloul was arrested. Her friend, Maysaa Al Amoudi, who came to her support and to bring her some items, was arrested as well. Reports on where they are being are starting to surface, but nothing that was confirmed by Saudi authorities. Loujain and Maysaa had both driven from the UAE and attempted to enter Saudi Arabia. After being denied entrance, they were both taken into custody. Although technically, neither of the young ladies broke the law. They were both holders of a Gulf General Driver’s License. Still, that did not stop the Saudi authorities from detaining them.
