Art Cairo, one of the Middle East’s most anticipated art fairs, is returning for its 6th edition at the stunning Grand Egyptian Museum from February 8-11, 2025, with a VIP preview on February 7.
This year’s fair is expected to attract over 22,000 attendees across its four-day program. It has cemented its place as a cornerstone of the global art calendar. The event promises to be a celebration of the artistic wealth of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. It will feature an expanded roster of galleries from across the region.
Art Cairo has grown to be a significant platform for both established and emerging artists. This year, the fair will host galleries not only from countries like Jordan, Lebanon, Qatar, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Kuwait, but also for the first time, will welcome participation from Morocco, Turkey, and Tunisia.
Mohamed Younis, Founder and Managing Director of Art Cairo, expressed his enthusiasm about the upcoming edition. “In our 6th edition, we aim to showcase the artistic richness of the Middle East and North Africa to local, regional, and international audiences, while energising and supporting Cairo’s dynamic art ecosystem. Set against the unique historical and cultural backdrop of the Grand Egyptian Museum, Art Cairo serves not only as a platform for artists but also as an arena for discourse on the exciting artistic ambitions of the region.”
A Dive Into The Program:
Art Cairo’s ‘Hiwar’ Talks Programme, which last year featured renowned Palestinian artist Sliman Mansour, will continue to offer stimulating conversations. The 2025 edition will present panels, in-conversations, and talks with artists, curators, gallerists, and thought leaders. This program will offer deeper insights into contemporary themes shaping the region’s arts.
A highlight of the fair is its esteemed VIP program. Last year’s edition welcomed Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, former Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Secretary-General of the Arab League. Alongside the fair’s opening events, VIPs, collectors, and gallerists will be treated to exclusive opportunities. These exclusive opportunities include tours of Cairo’s cultural heritage and a special collector-hosted dinner featuring a unique private collection.
As Art Cairo approaches, the fair continues to demonstrates the role art plays. Art bridges cultures, sparks dialogue, and celebrates the creative spirit that thrives in the MENA region.
