9 Superpowers All Women Possess but Rarely Realize

Many of us joke about having superpowers and how being a woman in this day and age requires having paranormal capabilities that are nothing less than a touch of divinity. Sure, we say that jokingly, but we also secretly believe it. Deep inside your deepest of thoughts, you do believe that you have superpowers. Otherwise, how could you have survived this long? And how could you have lived through all the catastrophes in your past?

If you ever secretly felt like you had superpowers, you were – and are – absolutely right!

Women do possess superpowers and it is only when you bring them into your awareness that their true potential manifests. Not only that, but those powers also grow and strengthen with use. So start using your own and see how far they get you!

“A man with a stubbed toe will hunch over and cry like a baby or cuss away the pain for half an hour, while we sit through entire meetings with period cramps and back pain shooting up and down our bodies, and still are able to focus, smile and respond when required to”

The Power to Multi-task

I bet that, in your head, you just said, “Been there, done that!” Every single woman out there has mastered the art of multitasking and has learnt to deal with stress and overloads of demand like a sorceress. Whether it’s running a house and handling a job simultaneously, and with the same efficiency, or nursing a baby, taking care of a husband and doing chores and errands all at the same time; or even the ability to be attentive on the phone, while writing an email, and listening to the person in front of you with full attention, we multitask and we do it well. Do not underestimate the power of being able to do that!

The Power of Intuition

You know that gut feeling you get when something isn’t right? Yes, that one! That, too, is a superpower, and every woman has it. When you just have a bad feeling about a trip or an outing, and it turns out horrendously, and you say to yourself, “I knew it!” That’s your intuition power. And when your girlfriend introduces you to her new friend or colleague and you say to yourself, “they’ll be married in less than two years,” and that happens. That, too, is your intuition, and it’s right and powerful, so embrace it and believe that little voice in your gut every time!

The Power of Compassion

Logically, stress or pressure or bad experiences would make a person prone to coldness, or indifference, or maybe even meanness. Somehow, however, women have the ability to feel compassion and empathy towards others who have undergone similar experiences, as opposed to shunning them out of their lives. A woman who was, for instance, physically abused and meets someone who is experiencing the same will not only relate, but will bust her ass trying to empower the person to make a change and stop the abuse. And that also applies on more frivolous matters, like bad hairdressers or ugly shopping experiences.

The Power of Tolerance

Whether its physical pain, difficult times or boring people, women have potentially skyrocket high endurance levels. A man with a stubbed toe will hunch over and cry like a baby or cuss away the pain for half an hour, while we sit through entire meetings with period cramps and back pain shooting up and down our bodies, and still are able to focus, smile and respond when required to. We also have tolerance for hardship, for annoying things and people, and for utter blasphemy even at times. We actually ought to work on decreasing that threshold, rather than making it higher!

“Crying may be a double-edged sword, but it is also a release that women would simply perish without.”

The Power of Perception

Women process things quickly and don’t require a lot of effort in making them understand something. Moreover, we read signs quickly and know how to interpret them in a fraction of a second. You can spot a fake bag a mile away, you detect flirtation like a radar, and you can always tell when someone is telling a lie, even if they don’t flinch. Pair that with your intuition, and you are unstoppable!

The Power to Say “No!”

Now this power may not be evident in all women, but it is definitely, most certainly there in all of us. Again, when paired with your powers of intuition and perception, knowing when to say “No” will empower you more than anything else. As natural givers, women can easily be abused, and that happens more than we would like to admit. Developing your power to say “No” and knowing when to and when not to use it is truly miraculous.

The Power to Cry

Crying may be a double-edged sword, but it is also a release that women would simply perish without. Sure, crying can take you places and get you things you want, but it is also a blessing that women are envied for. Crying brilliantly clears the mind and cleanses the soul. It enables you to put things into perspective, to forgive, to not forgive, and even to make an earth-shattering change in your life that would otherwise remain pending forever.
