Trusted NGOs Supporting Displaced Families in Lebanon

As Lebanon grapples with a pressing humanitarian crisis amidst ongoing attacks, more than a million people from the South have sought refuge in Beirut and surrounding areas. These displaced families have faced horrific journeys, struggling with scarce resources like food, water, and shelter. In response to this dire situation, several reputable NGOs are mobilizing to provide relief. Here are some organizations you can support to help deliver essential aid:

Beit El Baraka

Beit El Baraka is currently collecting food, hygiene products, and medicines. For in-kind donations, please send your donations directly to Beit el Baraka’s headquarters in Karm el Zeitoun. If you wish to donate cash from abroad, please head to Beit El Baraka’s website. Beit el Baraka will use this money to buy from small local shops in vulnerable communities.

Offre Joie

Offre Joie have announced the opening of all its centers in preparation to assist Lebanese people who are being subjected to Israeli attacks. They have been one of the first and most effective organization to support and aid the victims. Offre Joie believes that fragmented societies can heal through opportunities to serve the community.

Lebanese Food Bank

The Lebanese Food Bank are helping over 1500 families in 5 schools by providing meals, mattresses, pillows, baby and hygienic products. They are in need of financial donations and supplies. Their mission is to alleviate hunger by collecting wasted food of good quality.

Lebanese Red Cross

The Lebanese Red Cross are conducting an urgent call for blood donations. If you are able to donate blood, the Lebanese Red Cross blood transfusion centers in Spears, Beirut and Tripoli are open 24/7. Since the 17th of September, the war in Lebanon has escalated rapidly and the death and destruction has reached all areas of the country. More than 1 million people have been displaced throughout Lebanon. They  are in dire need shelter, relief and health service.

Matbakh Al Balad

Many of you cooked meals with love for Matbakh Al Balad during the October 2019 protests. This is a call for us to continue to stand together and alongside the many communities experiencing loss, displacement, and violence. For in-kind donations, they are looking for: Dry and canned foods, Cooking oil, & Baby milk. For readymade or cooked meals: Sandwiches, Salads, & Stews.
