Nuniz Cairo x Rebel Cairo present the Falak collection. The exclusive holiday bag collection explores transition, illustrating the shift between light and darkness, the sun and the moon. The design reflects balance through rhythm and structure. Each day brings the sunset, which holds the softness between morning and night. A pause carries meaning and teaches us that balance comes from rhythm, not force.
Produced in only 50 pieces, Falak brings together Rebel Cairo’s creative and expressive design with Nuniz Cairo’s mastery of leather craftsmanship. Moreover, these two defining forces in the Egyptian fashion landscape combine innovative and structured designs. Falak stands at the intersection of these worlds, where imagination meets expertise, transforming into a unique piece.
The Inspiration
The inspiration for Falak goes back centuries. The Ancient Egyptians believed that the transition from light to darkness shaped how the world worked around them. Day and night, light and darkness, were never seen in opposition, but two balancing forces, completing one another. The sun lights up the world, while the moon is for restoring it. When the sun sets, it continues its journey, not disappears. This makes the sun and the stars symbolize trust and order. Falak’s delicate stitching of the sun, moon, and starscaptures this philosophy.
The Design
Designed from full-grain leather in two colors, Olive Green and Brown, reflecting the Fall-Winter season’s palette. Delicately stitched embroidered details with colors of the shifting sky, blue, yellow, and orange. Furthermore, the side lining of the bag features Rebel Cairo’s distinctive pattern and material, combining modernity and classic leather structure. Inside the bag, Falak includes an inner pouch to keep all your essentials in.
The Symbols
The symbols of the sun and stars refer to rhythm and continuity. Falak’s balance between form and detail reflects the balance between light and dark.
