Marianne: The Left-handed Woman

Marianne, a woman who unexpectedly takes her eight-year-old son and leaves her husband to find ‘freedom’, takes us on a journey of unpredicted loneliness and independence in “Marianne”. The play is an Egyptian adaptation of the novel “The Left-handed Woman” by prominent Austrian contemporary author Peter Handke. The play, directed by Sherif Hamdy, was performed by the Egyptian theatre group “Lighting Group” on the 18th of Nov. at Gezira Youth Club and on the 21st of November at Ibdaa Centre.
