The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has granted all women the opportunity to undertake Umrah and Hajj without the requirement of a mahram, or male guardian. Since last year, Saudi Arabia has removed previous restrictions on visa issuance. This momentous move echoes Saudi Arabia’s dedication to encouraging the participation of women in spiritual rituals. In alignment with the objectives of KSA’s Vision 2030, they have implemented a series of measures to ensure an enriching and safe experience for all visitors.
These measures include the establishment of the Electronic Tourist Visa system. It is accessible to citizens from 63 countries, and holders of US, UK, Schengen visas, and residents of GCC countries. Also, Transit Visas allow for a stay of up to 96 hours. Additionally, booking with Saudia Airlines and Flynas visitors get one night in a hotel. It will enable them to explore the kingdom and partake in Umrah rituals.
