As it turns out, this is not Obama’s daughter. The young lady Michelle Obama is hugging is reported to be a student from Yemen.
The photo had gone viral earlier yesterday. In the photo, Michelle Obama is hugging a young lady who is wearing a graduation cap on which is written “A father gives his child nothing better than an education”, Prophet Mohammed. As the image circulated, it was stated that this is Barack and Michelle Obama’s daughter. This was soon proven to be a mistake.

We believe that this little fact still doesn’t take away from the beauty of this picture. And that the young lady’s choice to put this quote by Prophet Mohammed PBUH on her graduation cap was a great one.
