A post went viral on Facebook a few days ago showing a professor carrying a child during class. The child isn’t his, but in fact his student’s!
The post was made by Sera Yusuf, a Mass Comm student at Banha University, who spoke fondly of Professor Fathy Shams El Din, citing his strict demeanor and difficult exams; without failing to mention his kindness towards his students.
She went on to describe the incident, where a female student came with her child. As the child got restless, the professor noticed it. It was then that he decided to take the child off her hands, allowing the student to focus during class.
“Instead of making his student feel like a burden, or like she doesn’t belong in class, this professor welcomed her as well as her child.”
This kind of behavior and the acceptance of studying moms is exactly what women need to realize their true potential. Instead of making his student feel like a burden, or like she doesn’t belong in class, this professor welcomed her as well as her child. Not only that, but he also took it upon himself to make sure the child stays quiet, while he simultaneously did his job, teaching his mother.
We need more people like Professor Fathy Shams El Din, and are eternally grateful for the existence of human beings like him.
