At the Mercy of the Mister! 5 Types of Teachers you meet in Private Lessons!

Teaching is one of the noblest things in the world. And we all know and agree that teachers are worthy of our respect, but some of them make it so hard sometimes. During the cursed years of high school/sanaweya 3amma, we meet an excessive number of teachers at our homes. This leaves us at the mercy of their whimsies sometimes. Here are the worst – and strangest – types of teachers.

Mr. Sameh: Curious George

They’re not actually lost, but for some reason they keep walking around the house! Have you ever been in the middle of an exercise that your teacher gave you and then, you find him walking around with his hands behind his back, glimpsing at every piece of furniture. And then he says “nice sofa you got there. How much did it cost?” When you say “I don’t know”, he just talks about how you’re supposed to know about everything in your house and starts giving you life lessons.

“Have you ever been in the middle of an exercise that your teacher gave you and then, you find him walking around with his hands behind his back, glimpsing at every piece of furniture.”

Mr. Galal: Judge Judy

There are kinds of teachers that always criticize your house, spending most of their time telling you that your house looks messy or that it’s missing something, or even worse needs getting rid of something. Like telling you, “the walls are too white, they’ll get dirty”, or “the fire place is so old school, it doesn’t fit with the modern theme”. Who hired you as our house’s Judge, Jury and Executioner?

Mr. Sa’eed: Hungry Hobbit

Some teachers teach, and others eat. Their hunger for knowledge is matched by an even bigger hunger for, well, food. All they do is eat sandwiches and drink juice. Sometimes they even walk into the kitchen and start looking for the salt shaker!

“Teachers who can be described as gold diggers usually do some strange things, like give their card to the students, asking them to bring more “clients” from school.”

Mr. Fathy: The Gold Digger

Teachers who can be described as gold diggers usually do some strange things, like give their card to the students, asking them to bring more “clients” from school. They also open centers where they teach multiple students just to earn extra cash.

Mr. Raafat: Mi Casa es Su Casa

Careless teachers who feel right at home during your class! They’re the most disrespectful human beings. They will deal with your home as if it’s theirs and might do things like moving your furniture without asking (like moving a chair closer to the table to fit another student), or breaking something without offering to pay for it.
