So, who hasn’t been singing along on top of his or her lungs at least 3 times the past weekend to “Talat Daqat”? Bet you the answer is literally everyone, all day long, on every party, wedding, in the car, in the store, online and probably in your dreams. We all renewed our vows with Abu, with his schoolboy charms, soulful voice and wit.

In your opinion, how would you define manhood?

Manhood is a combination of many things, but most importantly manhood is kindness.

How does society define manhood?

Unfortunately, we learn that a man is the dominant gender. Manhood should be about providing support and being kind to the women in your life.

What are the misconceptions we inherit about manhood?

I often hear mothers yelling at their sons “men don’t cry”, but why? We need to get rid of this notion men should embrace their emotions and break down in tears every once in awhile. Some men force their power over their wives or daughters just because they can.

What is the role of men at home?

A man should be able to provide his family with love, support and most importantly empower them. He has to always be the force that drives his family to success and encourage them to never give up on their dreams.

What advice would you give your future daughter when choosing a man?

I have always wanted to have a little girl. I would advise her to choose a man who is kind to her and values her.
