Empower Her Art Forum (EHAF 2024), in its second edition, is preparing to host artists from around the world. EHAF 2024 is the first art forum of its kind to take place at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization. The inspiring Shereen Badr founded Empower Her Art Forum. EHAF 2024 will welcome over 130 artists from 40 different countries.
The opening ceremony will take place on Saturday May 18th. The closing event will be held on Wednesday May 22nd. The ceremonies will bring together the country’s most iconic singers and musicians. With an exclusive performance from Omar Khairat on the final day at the museum’s breathtaking Roman Theatre.
Shereen Badr said, “The forum is not only the first to support women artists, but to integrate audience and artists within the differently abled and disadvantaged sectors.”
The forum will host 10 workshops along three days dedicated to visually impaired and deaf artists and refugees facilitated by artists from 10 different countries. In addition, each artwork on display will have a replica beside it that enables visually impaired visitors to find out more about the artwork and experience it live.
Moreover, it is presented under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, Social Solidarity, Immigration, Tourism and Antiquities, Youth and Sports, Environment and the National Council for Women. The European Union, UN Women, UNHCR, the Italian Cultural Institute in Egypt are also supporting the event. In addition, the embassies of Spain, Chile and Ireland are in support of the event. This year comes with the sponsorship from WE Telecom Egypt, and SANAD EGYPT for women’s empowerment and numerous other sponsors.
