Does Sex become Extinct in Ramadan? Real Wives Confessions!

Ramadan is almost over, so all should go back to normal; eating habits, sleeping habits and apparently sex habits too! We’ve noticed among ladies’ conversations regarding Ramadan, sex almost always comes up. There are contradicting opinions, but from these many voices, we’ve gathered a list of facts and confessions about Ramadan sex, and why it might happen less frequently than on normal days.

Too Tired

One needs stamina for sex, and that partially comes from food and water. When you’ve been fasting all day, even after Iftar you won’t always be up for such an activity. That’s not the case every day, though. So it shouldn’t really stop you for that long.

“if we go out after Iftar and stay out late, of course there isn’t time for sex!”

Sleep > Sex

When presented with the choice of either having sex or getting that little bit of sleep you’ve been wanting all day, sometimes you’ll choose sleep. Ramadan is a hectic time and sometimes all you need is a nap, “after Iftar we would fall asleep immediately”, a confessor says. After that power nap, there isn’t much time for anything else.

Outing > Sex?

You have only eight hours of Iftar and only 30 days of Ramadan. During those eight hours and 30 days, you’re asked to go out with almost all of your friends and family, “if we go out after Iftar and stay out late, of course there isn’t time for sex!” Our confessor tells.

“Ramadan is not just about fasting; it’s more spiritual. I believe it’s about freeing yourself from your earthly desires”

Spiritual Reasons

Sometimes sex can continue to happen, but when you think about it, Ramadan isn’t all about that, “Ramadan is not just about fasting; it’s more spiritual. I believe it’s about freeing yourself from your earthly desires”, our confessor tells, “but we do have sex. The only difference is that we wait until the sun sets. Frequency doesn’t change; we just can’t do it in the morning”.

“sex is very important. You don’t want to be fasting and have disturbed hormones!”

Powering Through

Some couples decide to power through completely and not let their sex lives be affected by Ramadan in the least, “sex is very important. You don’t want to be fasting and have disturbed hormones!” confessor explains.

In conclusion, yes, sex happens less frequently in Ramadan, but that’s okay. You’re not alone and Eid is almost upon us so it’ll all go back to normal!
