Perfume
To shower yourself with your mom’s favorite perfume was an all time favorite activity, and you always thought, “I won’t get caught next time” but you did! Every single time!
Sun in
Who didn’t want to be blonde in the 90’s? We all thought just a splash of that Sun In and my life is complete! You would take it, rush to the bathroom and then blow dry your hair for nearly an hour just to see the effect. Of course, we didn’t know it worked best on blonde hair and that with our naturally dark hair we mostly ended up with brassy locks.
Lipstick
Brown lipsticks were very in. First, you would try it out on the back of your hand and then move on to your lips. Of course you had to lock yourself in your room so no one would see you. When you were done, you spent 20 minutes trying to remove the sticky lipstick.

Scrunchie
In all colors of the rainbow! Your mom would have the largest collection of the really big scrunchies to put her hair up in a ponytail with. You always stole one of the oh-so-grownup hair ties and thought she wouldn’t notice, until you lost them all and she did notice!
Hair Mascara
This was like magic! And when the spice girls emerged, it became a must have. When you steal something, you can’t walk around showing it off. So you would apply it on the bottom side of your hair where your mom would never see it.

The 90s were simpler times, where people were easily impressed. The topsy tail tool was the ultimate hair tool that every mother had to have, but never used! It was up to us to get the manual that came with it and try all the different hairstyles we can do for ourselves.

Usually it would be Impulse deodorant spray. First, you shook it to make sure it had enough for you to steal some. Then you tried to press slowly to make sure she didn’t hear it from the living room.

When we think about those now, they seem quite gross! Still, all mothers would have a pack of those for st And we would try every single eye shadow color from their palette just for fun!
