It’s becoming a trend to give fairy tales the modern treatment. And we absolutely love it! Into the Woods takes classical fairy tales and puts a sinister, albeit fantastical and hilarious spin on them. An evil witch, played by the ever so fabulous Meryl Streep, sends out a childless couple into different fairy tales. Their mission is to retrieve certain items from each fairy tale in order to reverse the curse on their family tree. The film has an all-star cast besides Meryl Streep, which includes Anna Kendrick, Emily Blunt, Tracey Ullman and Johnny Depp as the Wolf!
