International Women’s Day comes once per year. However, regardless of the day or month, Vodafone Egypt has always believed in women empowerment. That’s why they have been awarded as the first telecom and IT Company with the Egyptian Gender Equity Seal.
In their newest ad, Vodafone Egypt has collaborated with their brand ambassador Mohamed Salah, alongside his daughter Mecca, for International Women’s day.

The conversation he has with Mecca instills the very values that Vodafone believes in: the importance of communication with the younger generation, especially young girls. Vodafone strongly believes in the power of women. Thus, communication is integral to instill fundamental morals and values in our future generation of women. Mohamed Salah gives us a prime example on how fathers should create a dialogue with their daughters; instilling a sense of confidence and self-assurance in them from a very young age.
As a result of Vodafone’s consistent support of women, they have also collaborated with the National Council for Women as well as UN Women in support of the women of Egypt by launching the new platform: #منصة_فكرتك.
Vodafone Egypt proudly presented # منصة_فكرتك. It is set to be the largest platform for empowering women in Egypt. #منصة_فكرتك is a platform that targets women with entrepreneurial minds by providing them with opportunity to turn their ideas into reality.
The National Council for Women supports #منصة_فكرتك as part of its efforts towards empowering women economically. That is by supporting their participation in the labor market and giving them the opportunity to prove themselves and their capabilities. As well as supporting them towards a better future for themselves and their families. The partnership with the National Council for Women and UN Women comes within the framework of the “Women’s Economic Empowerment for Inclusive and Sustainable Growth” program. A program being implemented with the support of the Government of Canada, as the winning ideas through #منصة_فكرتك will benefit from the training and mentoring opportunities it provides. The Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation of the American University in Cairo as an implementation partner of the program.
The campaign for #منصة_فكرتك features many examples of strong Egyptian women from various fields.
Award-winning Opera singer Farah El Dibany, World Tennis Champion Mayar Sherif, founders of international brand Okhtein entrepreneurs Aya and Mounaz Abdelraouf, as well as award winning scientific researcher Elham Fadaly are featured in the campaign.
