Cooking time: 35 min Serves: 4-6 people
½ Kg minced beef
1 pack Maggi Kofta Mix
1 Kg sliced & fried egg plants
3 Lebanese/shamy bread cut into pieces and toasted
½ Kg yogurt
8 pieces finely crushed garlic
1 tbsp tahini
½ cups toasted pine nuts
¼ cup pomegranate molasses
½ cup tomato paste
1 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp chopped parsley for serving
- Mix minced beef with Maggi Kofta Mix.
- Place meat in pan and stir until golden brown, then add the tomato paste and pomegranate molasses and leave it on the stove for 15 minutes ( until the juices are gone).
- In a separate bowl, mix the yogurt with the tahini and add ½ spoon of crushed garlic and ¼ spoon of salt.
- For serving: In a plate add the ingredients in layers, first the toasted bread, then the fried eggplant and then the meat and repeat the process, then add yogurt and tahini mix as the final step. Then add some toasted bread, pine nuts and parsley for garnish.
