Coconut Cake with Ramadan Sugar Drizzle!

 

Ingredients:

2 cups sugar

2 sticks of butter

2 cups flour

4 eggs

1 ½ teaspoon baking powder

¾ cup milk

½ cup coconut flakes

½ cup chopped nuts

 

Method:

Preheat oven to 180 C. In a bowl cream butter and sugar until smooth. Then add eggs one by one into mixture. In another bowl put flour, baking powder, milk and coconut flakes, mix together. Add both mixtures until you have a soft batter. Pour batter into a floured pan and bake for 45 min – 1 hour

When cake is ready let it cool down.

 

Drizzle:

Add 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of cold water to a small sauce pan.

Over low heat stir until sugar is completely dissolved.

Let it cool then slowly pour into cake.

 

Prep time: 30 mins

Cook time: 1 hour

Serves: 4
