6 Tasks you should never give your Nanny!

With the rising of the “have it all” woman comes the rise of depending on nannies. There’s nothing wrong with having a nanny to help out, but there are certain tasks that should be done by the parents; things that a child will remember and will definitely affect the parents’ relationship with their child.

Bed-Time Stories

This refers to any tradition or routine that you do with your child before bed. This is something you should never hand over to your nanny. Parents should really be the ones putting their child to sleep since that is a big part of their bond.

Long Baths

Baths are usually something very fun for the children and they’re very intimate. So you shouldn’t have your nanny taking over something that exposes your child to such an extent.

Potty Training

Although many people don’t know this, potty training builds a lot in your child’s character. Your techniques and approach might be very different from theirs. You want something so pivotal in building your child’s psyche to be done by you.

“You never want your child to ask you about their first day of school only for you to tell them you don’t know because you weren’t there!”

First Day of School

You never want your child to ask you about their first day of school only for you to tell them you don’t know because you weren’t there! You should always be there for memorable days.

School Projects

This also is great for bonding and gives you a chance to teach your child a thing or two. Make sure to do these things that your child will remember you did for them.

At Least One Meal Together

Meals can be tricky since your schedules are quite different, but you should a least have one meal a day that you eat together. Breakfast is usually the easiest even if it requires you waking up slightly earlier.
