I’ve bumped into Ghada Adel more than once, and I’ve got to admit, she is dangerously beautiful. She has flawless skin, a fit body and healthy hair. I’ve seen her with zero makeup, a pair of jeans and a simple t-shirt, and God, she is a knockout!
“There are hundreds of ways to hide normal human flaws like blackheads, ingrown hair, childhood scars and minor cigarette or cooking burns.”
A couple of days ago, Social Media went crazy sharing an old photo shoot that was featured in 7 Days magazine a couple of years ago of playful Ghada wearing pretty outfits and looking utterly stunning. The photos were posted on a Facebook page called ‘A3da.net’ and it was immediately shared by young women, who were posting about how they look older in their 20’s and wondering how Ghada managed to have five kids and stay fresh and fit. Everyone envied her supernatural beauty.
“being healthy and fit can come from quitting meat and climbing stairs. We choose to find an excuse… She has the money.”
Although Ghada is a stunner in real life, Internet users failed to understand that before a photo shoot gets out of a photographer’s confidential folder, it is edited via Photoshop with beauty amplifying effects, hair and skin retouching and coloring, high end fashion editing and many more. There are hundreds of ways to hide normal human flaws like blackheads, ingrown hair, childhood scars and minor cigarette or cooking burns.
It’s totally fine to use Photoshop in fashion shoots and create beautiful portraits of someone who is already beautiful. Still, in this day and age, some women are insecure about the way they naturally look and keep on comparing themselves to glossy magazine pages or celebrity Social Media posts. Fashion should make you feel good about yourself, if it doesn’t, then you don’t perceive it correctly. Photography and art are tools to express something that doesn’t necessarily have to be real.
Some users said that Ghada has the money and luxury to look the way she does now, but come on, we all know that being healthy and fit can come from quitting meat and climbing stairs. We choose to find an excuse… She has the money. Of course she is rich and famous, but again she is a human being who has hidden flaws that she doesn’t have to publicly announce them.
Eat healthy, recycle junk food menus to a better cause, laugh loudly, drink a lot of water, quit smoking and check Social Media for news or entertainment and not for unhealthy comparison. As cliché as it sounds, age is just a number.
